Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil has thanked his fans for their support on social media.
The 27-year-old now has 8 million followers on Instagram making him the most followed Arsenal player.
Ozil uploaded the following picture to social media along with the caption, “Thank you for 8 mio. fans on instagram! #AmazingSupport.”
Ozil is expected to miss the first game of the Premier League season against Liverpool on August 14 due to concerns over his fitness so a good shin dig may just help get him back into shape sooner than expected.
The 27-year-old star scored one goal and provided one assist during Germany’s run to the semi finals. The Arsenal playmaker also boasted a pass accuracy of 91% and created 48 chances for his team-mates throughout the tournament.
The Arsenal duo Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez are also doubts for the opening game of the season after the they participated in international competitions this summer.
