Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has revealed that Gökhan Töre is his favourite player in Turkey.
“There are many quality players in Turkey,” Podolski said.
“My favourite is Gökhan Töre, he is a very promising player and I believe he will become very successful.”
Töre and Podolski both grew up in the German city of Cologne. Podolski who is of Polish origin represents the German national team and was part of the World Cup winning side this summer.
The Beşiktaş winger represents the Turkish national team despite being born in Germany.
Podolski recently called for Twitter users to follow Töre and shared a picture posing with the Beşiktaş winger.

Töre joined Beşiktaş on a permanent five-year deal from Rubin Kazan this summer.
The 22-year-old winger has three goals and five assists this season for the Black Eagles.
