Barcelona star Arda Turan has responded to speculation linking him with a move away from the Catalan giants.

The Turkish international stated that playing for Barcelona is a childhood dream.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is monitoring Turan’s transfer situation according to TalkSport while the Turkish international was also reportedly the subject of a mega-money bid from China.

“Playing for Barcelona is a childhood dream for me,” Turan was quoted as saying by the Hurriyet.

“I will not give this up easily, I am willing to remain patient.”

The 29-year-old’s statement comes as a response to the Spanish outlet AS who recently reported  that Turan was disillusioned with life at Barcelona and was looking for a way out.

Turan unable to play first team football for the first six months of the season due to the transfer ban and went onto make his debut in January.

Barcelona take on their city rival’s Espanyol in the La Liga on Sunday.
