£12m Arsenal defensive target target uncertain about Man City future

Man City transfer news Galatasaray Jason Denayer

Manchester City defender Jason Denayer has revealed that he remains uncertain regarding his future at the club.

Denayer has spent the last few seasons out on loan culminating with a temporary move to Galatasaray were he won the 2015 Turkish Cup.

The Belgium international is currently training with the City squad but revealed that he does not know if head coach Pep Guardiola has plans for him next season.

Denayer was quoted as saying by FourFourTwo: “I’m happy to be back here. You never know what’s going to happen – it depends on the coach and me.

“I try to do my best in training and we’re going to see if I’m part of the new manager’s plan or not.”

The 22-year-old defender has no shortage of clubs keeping tabs on him and The Sun, report that Premier League giants Arsenal are interested.

Per the source, he could be available for a £12 million fee. Galatasaray meanwhile are keen on signing Denayer on another year long loan.

The Lions are reported to have made an enquiry regarding the young defenders availability after a successful stint last season.

The Citizens may decide to give Denayer the green light to leave if they manager to sign John Stones from Everton as he would fall further down the pecking order.
