Liverpool team news Emre Can

Arsenal target William Carvalho beat Liverpool’s Emre Can to be included in the official best XI of the UEFA U21 European Championships.

The 11 man team published on Uefa’s official website includes only one member of the Germany U-21 side, Kevin Volland.

William showed his dominance over the Liverpool star during Portugal’s 5-0 win over Germany.

“William was hugely dominant over his direct opponent Emre Can, another player who had hitherto stood out, helping his side to inflict a record U21 defeat on their opponents,” Uefa.com stated.

Can played the full 90 minutes in Germany u-21’s humiliating 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Portugal u-21’s.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man received a rating of 5.96 for his performance on the night. Can managed to make three tackles, two interception and no clearances.

The 21-year-old made just 49 passes from midfield and maintained a passing accuracy of 81.6%, the lowest in Germany’s midfield.

Can made a total of 40 appearances for the Premier League outfit last season and also featured in the FA Cup and Europa League.
