Arsenal v Basel – Probable lineups, Wenger set to make changes

Arsene Wenger Arsenal team news

Mesut Ozil is expected to retain his place in Arsene Wenger’s starting lineup when Arsenal take on FC Basel tonight.

The Gunners picked up a hard earned point away to PSG in their opening game of the competition and sit at the top of Group A.

Wenger does have a decision to make in midfield following the injury to Francis Coquelin.  Summer signing Granit Xhaka is expected to step in, following a string of impressive performances since making the move from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Olivier Giroud is also ruled out after being sent off in the Arsenal’s first Group A game against PSG.

The Chile international Alexis Sanchez is expected to retain his place up-front following an impressive performance against Chelsea on Saturday.

Arsenal go into the game on the back of three consecutive wins in the Premier League including a 3-0 victory over rivals Chelsea.
