Özil provided the assist for Olivier Giroud’s opening goal against Palace and made the most key passes in the Premier League today according to Whoscored.com.

The Arsenal star made a total of five key passes at Selhurst Park earlier today against Palace. Özil also made 55 passes throughout the game maintaining a passing accuracy of 98%.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger heaped praise on Özil for his performance against Palace.

“He had a very good performance. He was important getting out from the back, getting out of tight areas. It is a pleasure to watch the quality of his passing and the intelligence of his passing,” Wenger was quoted as saying by the official Arsenal website.

The North London based side face a tough test next week as they welcome Liverpool to the Emirates.

Arsenal moved into 11th place on three points after two games following the win over Palace.
