Mesut Özil is enjoying a well earned day off following his impressive display against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
The Germany international provided an assist to Olivier Giroud and maintained a passing accuracy of 98%. Özil also provided the highest amount of key passes in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram ealier today to share a selfie under the sun along with the following caption, “Enjoying my day off under the. #özil #ozil #LaFamilia.”
Arsene Wenger heaped praise on the Özil man at the post-match press conference.
“It is a pleasure to watch the quality of his passing and the intelligence of his passing,” Wenger was quoted as saying on the official Arsenal website.
The Arsenal star is known for assist making ability and has setup a total of 24 goals for the Gunners since joining on a £42.5 million record breaking transfer fee in 2013.
Arsenal moved into 11th place on three points after two games following the win over Palace.
