Arsenal’s Mesut Özil has stated that he is ready for his sides UEFA Champions League clash against Monaco tomorrow. The Gunners host the Ligue 1 side at the Emirates Stadium at 19:45.
Özil posted a picture of himself during training along with the caption, “26 hours left – we are ready for the @ChampionsLeague. I simply love this tournament!”
The 26-year-old played 76 minutes in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on the weekend. The Gunners moved up into third place following the win over their London rivals.
The 26-year-old playmaker received a rating of 7.5 from Whoscored. Ozil, who started his fourth Premier League game in a row today, made two key passes, two successful dribbles and maintained a passing accuracy of 83.3%.
Özil has scored twice and has provided three assists in his last four league outings since fully recovering from injury.
The German international has made 15 appearances for Arsenal this season in all competitions.
