Arsene Wenger heaps praise on 'efficient' Arsenal star

Arsenal star Mesut Ozil

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on his star playmaker Mesut Ozil.

The French manager stated that the 27-year-old has been more efficient this season in comparison to his first two seasons at the club.

“He has been more efficient. He created more chances and has scored, especially, more goals,” Wenger stated at a prematch press conference.

The former Real Madrid man has provided the highest number of assists in the Premier League this season (19).

Ozil would have had more assists to his name had it not been for the profligacy of his teammates. The 27-year-old has created the most chances in the league (122) but Arsenal have the lowest goal record in the top four.

Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League with 59 points in 32 games. The north London based side host Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, kick-off is at 16:00 (GMT).
