Athletic Bilbao v Barcelona: Probable Starting Line-ups – Arda Turan set to make 5th start

Barcelona team news

Barcelona take on Athletic Bilbao for the second time within the space of a few days this time in the Spanish Cup quarter-final first-leg tie at the San Mames.

The reigning La Liga champions crushed Bilbao 6-0 at the Camp Nou in the league on the weekend and will be hoping for a repeat performance in the cup but will have to make do without Luis Suarez – suspended – and Lionel Messi – injured.

The absence of the two star forwards could mean that Arda Turan starts on right of the attacking tridente as he did against Bilbao when he replaced Messi at half time.

Turan provided his second assist since making his debut for Barcelona in the Copa del Rey against rivals Espanyol a fortnight ago and considering Luis Enrique’s side have won all four games since the introduction of the bearded winger he could very well keep his place in the side.

The complete Barcelona squad is as follows: Ter Stegen, Masip, Douglas, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Dani Alves, Arda Turan, Iniesta, Neymar Jr, Mascherano, Bartra, Munir, Sandro, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Aleix Vidal, Vermaelen.
