“All we are focused on is winning the Champions League, if our goal is not to win the competition then why are we in it?” Turan told the Milliyet.
“We reached the final last season, we want to do one better this year.
“This team is capable of knocking Real Madrid out, it is 50-50 but we are going to put blood, swear and tear into this, make no doubt about it we will fight until the very last minute.”
Atleti will take on rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League final quarter-finals next week.
The Rojiblancos faced Real in last seasons Champions League final but ended up losing in extra-time.
The La Liga champions are currently in third place, nine points behind leaders Barcelona and five behind second placed Real Madrid.
Turan became the first Turkish born player to win the La Liga as Atleti won their first league title since 1996 last season and was part of the same side that reached the Champions League final.
