Atletico Madrid hoping to extend unbeaten run against Real Madrid to 8 games

Atletico Madrid will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run against Real Madrid to eight games when the two sides meet at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.

The La Liga champions are undefeated in their last seven meetings against Real but lost the Champions League final against their rivals 4-1 last season.

Atleti boss Diego Simeone revealed that although Mario Suarez will be missed he has enough defensive cover.

“We have been doing well at the back of late. We have great players in defensive positions and I have a problem deciding which ones are better suited for each match. We have players who can keep us safe at the back and attack if possible,” Simeone told the official UEFA website.
