Konyaspor manager Aykut Kocaman revealed that he was happy with the goalless draw against Akhisar.

“If you asked me would I take a draw before the game I would have said yes,” Kocaman said.

“An away point is not a bad result especially when you consider our away form this season.

“However, we came very close to winning the game, Akhisar played the second half down with 10 men but they defended well.

“We could have been more patient and done with some better finishing. We should have made Akhisar work harder but then again they had a few good chances as well so a draw was a pretty fair result.

“A point is a point and now we will focus on the Mersin game next week.”

Konyaspor remain in 12th place following the draw, meanwhile Akhisar moved up into seventh.

Kocaman won the league title with Fenerbahçe in 2010-11 and finished runner-up in 2011–12, 2012–13. The former Yellow Canaries boss also won two Turkish Cups and reached the semi-finals of the 2012-13 Europa League.
