The bearded winger does however, believe that the reigning La Liga champions will still beat their rivals.
“Of course I am not pleased about the situation but I am a part of the team whether I play or not and I believe we will win the El Clasico,” Turan said speaking at his pre match press conference ahead of the Turkey – Qatar international friendly.
Turan is no stranger to derby games against Real from his time at Madrid rivals Atletico. The bearded winger did not lose a single game against Real last season winning three and drawing just the once.
The Turkish international joined Barcelona from Atleti on a five-year move over the summer but will have to wait until the second half of the season for his first El Clasico.
Turan will however, be able to play in the international friendlies against Qatar and Greece over the next few days as the transfer ban does not apply to international football.
Barcelona are currently first in the league on 27 points with Real Madrid just three points behind them.
