Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has stated that Arda Turan’s impressive start at the Catalan giants is no surprise.

The Champions league winning manager said that the Turkish international had shown his quality during training and that he will improve further as his match fitness improves.

“Their [Arda Turan & Aleix Vidal] performances have not surprised me because they have been training all these months, but I think they will improve as they get match fitness,” Enrique told Barcelona’s official website.

Turan has started in the reigning La Liga champions last three games and head coach Luis Enrique has described him as being someone with potential to be a key player in his side.

The Turkish international had to wait six months before playing his first game for Barcelona due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club

Barcelona take on Athletic Bilbao next at the Camp Nou today at the Camp Nou.

Turan has provided one assist in three games for the La Liga giants this season.
