Arda Turan made his debut six months after joining Barcelona following the lifting of the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.

Turan got his Barcelona career off to a great start starring in a 4-1 victory over rivals Barcelona in the Spanish Cup Last 16 first-leg at the Camp Nou.

The debutant was fielded on the right side of the midfield-three replacing with Busquets in the middle and Iniesta on the left side.

Turan had a total of 64 touches in total making 43 passes with an 81 percent accuracy and won five out of six attempted tackles.

The Turkish international winger had the chance to score shortly before being replaced by Rakitic on 68 minutes but was denied by the keeper.

We take a look on Twitter to get a feel of what was made of the Turan’s debut appearance. Several tweeters pointed out just how attractive the Barcelona midfield looks with the bearded winger staring alongside Iniesta and co.

Hard to argue against this post Barcelona have been collecting the crème de la crème of several countries.

Turan’s work rate did not go unnoticed either and could be a welcome addition to the Barcelona midfield considering their defensive frailties.

There were also a few humorous tweets following Turan’s mini-altercation with the Espanyol keeper which brought back memories of his last Spanish Cup game last season when he hurled a boot at the linesman.

And this one pretty much sums up his astronomic rise from ball boy to Barcelona baller.
