Barcelona extended their unbeaten run to 31 following their 3-1 victory over Sporting Gijon yesterday.
Lionel Messi stole the spotlight as usual but Arda Turan did make his seventh start for Barcelona. The reigning La Liga champions have actually won all 10 games Turan has appeared in since his debut against Espanyol last month.
We took a look at Twitter to find out how social media reacted to the bearded wingers performance.
Turan got a lot of love before the game even started for his ball juggling skills. The bearded winger and Messi played a few rounds of football tennis which went down a storm on social media.

Turan’s defensive work got a lot of praise in fact no other player recovered the ball as many time as he did over the 90 minutes (12).

The Turkish international’s attacking flair also went down a treat especially his ball control in tight areas.

Turan’s tough tackling did not go unnoticed. The 29-year-old made the highest number of tackles for his team (5).

Turan completed a total of 76 passes at a 90 percent accuracy keeping his average at 92 percent since making his debut for the club.
