FC Barcelona are keen to hold onto their star midfielder Arda Turan despite interest from China.

The Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo (via Sabah) state that despite talk of an astronomical bid for Turan from China, Barcelona have no intention of selling the Turkish international.

The 29-year-old moved to the Catalan giants from Atletico Madrid at the start of the season €37 million. However, Turan has made just seven starts for Barcelona since joining.

Turan was unable to play first team football for the first six months of the season due to the transfer ban imposed on the club and went onto make his debut in January.

The Spanish newspaper Marca states that Turan is already preparing for the upcoming season where he wants to break into the first team.

Barcelona take on their city rivals Espanyol in the Spanish league next weekend.
