Barcelona launch Arda Turan appeal

Arda Turan Man United transfer news

Barcelona have launched an appeal with the view to allow to Arda Turan to play first team football before the Catalan sides transfer ban ends in January.

According to Goal, the La Liga champions have stated that they are yet to hear from Fifa over whether Turan or current Masia youngsters can be registered and have threatened to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to have the issue resolved.

Turan joined the Champions League title holders on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid over the summer but has yet to make his debut for the Spanish giants.

The former Atleti star has however, featured for the Turkish national team as the ban does not apply to international football.

Turan was part of the Turkish national team side that booked a place in Euro 2016 following victories over the Czech Republic and Iceland last month.
