Barcelona have received a boost ahead of the Copa del Rey final this weekend following the return of Arda Turan to first team training.

Turan has missed training on Tuesday and Wednesday after being granted special permission by the club for personal reasons.

“Barca manager Luis Enrique kept a watchful eye on the field, where all available first-team players worked out, plus the reserve player Juan Cámara,” Barcelona announced on the club’s website.

“Midfielder Arda Turan was granted permission to miss the session for personal reasons,.”

Turan joined Barcelona over the summer but had to wait six-months on the sidelines due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.

The former Galatasaray star became the first Turkish international to win the La Liga for a second time when Barcelona lifted the title last weekend.

Turan was also the first Turkish international to win the La Liga when he lifted the title with Atletico Madrid.

The 29-year-old is expected to play a key role in Turkey’s Euro 2016 campaign and is likely to be captain.
