Barcelona star Arda Turan physically and mentally ready for debut

Arda Turan’s agent has stated that his client is ready both physically and mentally for his Barcelona debut.

Barcelona signed Turan on a £24 million transfer from Atletico Madrid during the summer but are unable to register the bearded winger until January 4 2016 due to the FIFA transfer ban currently in place.

“He is physically and mentally ready to compete. He played two games for Turkey less than a month ago,” Bulut was quoted as saying by Four Four Two.

Turan played in both of Turkey’s Euro 2014 qualification games against Latvia and the Netherlands last month.

The La Liga champions attempted to register Turan to their squad following a long term injury to Rafinha. The Spain international is expected to be out for months with a long term injury after suffering a torn cruciate ligament.

However, FIFA have rejected Barcelona’s request to register Turan in place of the injured Rafinha according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.
