The El Clasico is one of the biggest rivalries in football but Barcelona star Arda Turan revealed that he has played tougher games.

The Turkish international star was quoted by the Milliyet as saying: “It is just one game I have played tougher matches.”

Turan did however, admit that he is looking forward to his first El Clasico when Barcelona take on Real Madrid over the weekend.

“Of course it will be special, this will be my first Clasico,” he added.

The derby will be played at the Camp Nou and Turan believes that the 12th man will give Barca the edge over their Madrid based rivals.

“The league standings do not matter in a derby especially one between such big rivals, it is a classic game and will be tough but we have the advantage playing at home,” Turan said.

Turan returned from international duty following Turkey’s 2-1 victory over Austria scoring the winning goal to extend the Crescent-Stars unbeaten run to 13 games.

The bearded winger has been in training and is fit to feature in the derby against Real at the Camp Nou.

The 29-year-old has two goals and four assists in all competitions for Barcelona this season and has yet to lose a game wearing the Barca shirt.
