Barcelona’s star midfielder Arda Turan suffered a injury scare during training with the Turkish national team today.
The 29-year-old was down and on the floor in pain after a colliding with a teammate during todays session.
Galatasaray’s Selcuk Inan also suffered an impact injury during training. Both Turan and Selcuk were rested for the rest of the training session and a statement regarding their fitness is expected be made by the Turkish national team tonight.
Turan made the 23-man squad and will captain Turkey in France this summer. The 29-year-old provided an assist in the Crescent-Stars 1-0 winner over Montenegro last week and has been in impressive form for Turkey this season.
The experienced winger has now been involved in nine goals in his last 11 appearances for Turkey – four goals, five assists. Turan made 25 appearances scoring twice and providing four assists for Barcelona this season.
Turkey take on Slovenia for their final friendly encounter before Euro 2016 this summer.
