Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Çalhanoğlu has revealed that he is learning Spanish and loves to visit Ibiza on holiday.

Çalhanoğlu has been closely linked with Barcelona and reports that he is learning Spanish have fueled further speculation.

The Turkish international has however, underlined that he is learning Spanish because he enjoys to learn languages.

“Many players in the team learn foreign languages, I really enjoy it as well and like to speak the language I learn to a high level,” Çalhanoğlu told El Mundo.

“I love to visit Ibiza, the people are a great and the weather is lovely, it really is a nice place to go on holiday.”

Çalhanoğlu recently admitted that he is flattered by interest from Barcelona but admitted he is happy at Bayer Leverkusen.

The 21-year-old has attracted interest from across Europe for his impressive performances this season.

Çalhanoğlu has scored 10 times and provided eight assists in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit.

Bayer take on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League second-leg game this week. The Bundesliga outfit won the first-leg against Atleti 1-0 at the BayArena.
