Besiktas begin preparation for Club Brugge clash

Besiktas have begun preperations for this weeks Europa League clash with Club Brugge.

Slaven Bilic headed the session at the Nevzat Demir training facility this morning. Atiba Hutchinson, Jose Sosa, Daniel Opare, İsmail Köybaşı and Alexander Milosevic all missed training due to injuries.

Serdar Kurtulus also missed training and is expected to miss Thrusday’s game.

The Black Eagles lost the first-leg in Belgium 2-1 and will take on Club Brugge at the Atatürk Olympic stadium next Thursday.

Beşiktaş will take solace from the fact they also lost the first leg against Liverpool in the Round of 32 but managed to win the tie in Istanbul.

The Black Eagles are unbeaten in European competition this season in Istanbul, including games against Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool.

The defeat was the Eagles first against Belgium opposition in Europe.

Beşiktaş will host Kayseri Erciyesspor next but the game will be played in Ankara as the Inönü stadium is currently being rebuilt.
