Lucescu has been closely linked with Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe over the past months with both Black Eagles and Yellow Canaries coaches set to leave in the summer.

Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has already announced he will be leaving while Fenerbahçe are expected to part ways with Ismail Kartal after the season ends.

The Romanian coach did however, recently rule out moving back to Turkey.

“I have one year left on my contract and I want to honour it. All the rumors are nothing but media speculations.” Lucescu was quoted as saying by Fenerbahçe Global.

“We have been Ukraine’s best representatives in Europe for the past 10 years, all fans are tolerant towards us, as politics and football are two separate matters”

Lucescu previously managed Beşiktaş and won the Süper Lig as Black Eagles head coach in 2002-03.

The former Beşiktaş boss also coached Galatasaray between the 2000-02 seasons, during which time he won the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid and reached the quarter-finals in the 2000–01 UEFA Champions League.
