Besiktas confirm talks with the Ghana international Opare
Besiktas are close to sealing the transfer of Daniel Opare. The Istanbul based club have confirmed that negotiations with Porto and the Ghana international have begun.
The Black Eagles released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange which reads, “Our football club have begun transfer negotiations with both Porto and Daniel Opare.”
The Black Eagles have played much of the season without a right-back due to injuries and a lack of depth.
Sporting’s Junior Caiçara, Dinamo Zagreb’s Ivo Pinto, Cruzeiro’s Mayke and Udinese’s Cameroon international Nyom, Martin Linnes and Maxi Pereira have all been linked with the Istanbul based side over recent weeks.
Midfielders Necip Uysal and Atiba Hutchinson have had to fill in as make shift right-backs from time to time this season.
The 24-year-old has 16 Ghana international caps. Opare has made just two appearances for Porto’s reserve side this season.
