Beşiktaş defender Ersan Gülüm has revealed that he wants to play against Trabzonspor on the weekend.
“All we are focused on is the Trabzonspor game, I will not be on the field but that does not matter,” Gülüm was quoted as saying by Eurosport TR.
Gülüm stated that he is injured but that his recovery is going to plan and that he will be ready in time for the game.
“My recovery is going well, I am almost back to maximum strength, I would love to play but it is up to the manager to make that decision,” he added.
The Turkish international was expected to miss the game due to an injury he sustained in the 2-1 win over Karabükspor.
The Black Eagles beat Trabzonspor 3-0 the last time the two sides met in the first half of the season.
Beşiktaş are currently first in the Süper Lig but just one point separates them from second placed Galatasaray and third placed Fenerbahçe.
Trabzonspor are currently sixth in the Süper Lig but 5th placed Başakşehir and 4th placed Trabzonspor all share the same points – 47.
