Beşiktaş deny Ciani bid but do not rule our move for Chelsea defender Zouma [divider]
Beşiktaş vice-president responded to questions surrounding interest in defenders ahead of the Europa League Group C game against Asteras Tripoli.
The Black Eagles have been closely linked with Serdar Taşçı, Ciani and Kurt Zouma over recent weeks.
“We are not interested in Serdar Taşçı or Ciani but we are trying to transfer a defender,” Çebi said.
“We have identified what positions we need to strengthen and are in talks trying to make something happen.
“We have four players we are targeting and working hard to bring one or two of them to the club.
“We want to make Beşiktaş worthwhile transfers.”
Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman recently confirmed that they were working with Chelsea to sign a player.
“We are working together with Chelsea to sign a player,” Orman said.
Zouma joined Chelsea from Saint-Étienne for £12.85 last January. The French U21 international has one goal in five appearances for the Blues this season.
