Besiktas draw Club Brugge in Europa League Last 16 [divider]

Süper Lig giants Beşiktaş will face Club Brugge in Europa League Last 16.

The draw took place at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzterland.

The first legs of the Last 16 will take place on March 12, with the return matched will be played the following week on March 19.

The Black Eagles secured a place in the Last 16 after eliminating Liverpool in the Round of 32 on penalties.

Beşiktaş lost the first leg against Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield but won the second game 1-0 to take the game into extra time and penalties. After nine perfect spot kicks Dejan Lovren stepped up and blazed the ball over the goal to give the Eagles victory.

The win was Slaven Bilic’s sides second on home turf against English opposition in the Europa League this season. Beşiktaş also beat Tottenham 1-0 in the competition group stages.

The Eagles are the only remaining Turkish side in European competition this season.
