Lucescu has been closely linked with a move to Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe in the summer.

Beşiktaş have however, rejected the notion that Lucescu would be replacing current manager Slaven Bilic.

Bilic has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League next season but the Beşiktaş board have underlined that they want the Croatian manager to stay on as head coach next season.

Lucescu previously managed Beşiktaş and won the Süper Lig as Black Eagles head coach in 2002-03.

The Romanian manager has a lot of experience coaching in Turkey and has also been closely linked with a move to Fenerbahçe.
