Besiktas have been linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund centre back Neven Subotic.

The German newspaper Kicker has stated that the Black Eagles are keeping tabs on the experinced defender who has been tipped to leave Dortmund in the summer.

However, they face stiff competition from Liverpool according to another German paper Revier Sport. The report tips Subotic to continue the exodus at Dortmund and sign for Liverpool at the end of the season.

Subotic played under Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp while he managed Dortmund.

The Serbia international has made 251 appearances for Dortmund since making his debut for the Bundesliga outfit in 2008.

Besiktas are on the hunt for extra defensive cover after offloading Ersan Gulum in January. Senol Gunes have been forced to use Necip and Tosic at times as centre backs due to injures this season.

The Black Eagles take on their Istanbul rivals Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig this weekend.
