Besiktas keeper Cenk Gonen ruled out with injury for three weeks

Beşiktaş goalkeeper Cenk Gönen has been ruled out with injury for three weeks the club revealed via their official website.

Gönen underwent tests at the Fulya Acibadem sports hospital where it was discovered that he suffered a muscle tear.

The Turkish international goal keeper is expected to miss a minimum of three weeks.

Gönen was second choice keeper for Beşiktaş but recently established himself as a candidate for the first-team following impressive performances against Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32.

First choice keeper Tolga Zengin is also out injured for the Black Eagles.

Zengin sustained a muscle tear injury during the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe three weeks ago.

The Turkish international keeper had only just recovered from a previous injury.

Beşiktaş third-choice keeper Günay Güvenç started in goal for Beşiktaş against Başakşehir on the weekend

The 23-year-old had only made two appearances all season and started just once in the Turkish Cup.
