Besiktas have been linked with a January move for Sporting Lisbon’s right back Cedric Soares.
The Istanbul based club are set to table a loan bid for the 23-year-old with the option to buy him at the end of the season.
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal’s scouts have been monitoring Soares, who is also wanted by Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke, several times in the past month.
Soares is under contract until 2016 but is refusing to sign an extension and has a release clause of around €10 million.
The Black Eagles have played much of the season without a right-back due to injuries and a lack of depth.
Midfielders Necip Uysal and Atiba Hutchinson have had to fill in as make shift right-backs from time to time this season.
Beşiktaş have also been linked with Dinamo Zagreb’s Ivo Pinto, Cruzeiro’s Mayke and Udinese’s Cameroon international Nyom.
