Beşiktaş are set to make Chelsea a loan offer for centre-back Kurt Zouma.
The Black Eagles have been keeping tabs on the 20-year-old as they continue their search for a defender.
Slaven Bilic recently revealed that Beşiktaş are scouting five players and hope to sign one of two players over the winter break.
“There are 5-6 candidates we are looking into,” Bilic said.
Beşiktaş have been in talks with Chelsea over a deal for close co-operation between the first teams, academies, training support and joint scouting projects.
Black Eagles president Fikret Orman confirmed that they were working with Chelsea to sign a player.
“We are working together with Chelsea to sign a player,” Orman said.
Zouma joined Chelsea from Saint-Étienne for £12.85 last January. The French U21 international has one goal in five appearances for the Blues this season.
