Besiktas President arrives in London to hold talks with Chelsea over international striker

Loic Remy

Besiktas President Fikret Orman has traveled to London to hold talks with Chelsea over the signing of Loic Remy.

Turkish-Football sources can confirm that Orman has made his second trip to England this month and is planning to return to Turkey with new signings for Besiktas.

Orman will hold talks with Chelsea as they look to sign the out-of-favour striker Loic Remy on a season-long loan deal.

Besiktas have offered to cover €3.5 million of Chelsea striker Loic Remy’s €4.5 million salary according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.

The Istanbul giants are running out of time to find a replacement for Mario Gomez going into the Champions League campaign.

Gomez scored 26 times last season and played a key role in winning the league title, earning himself a recall to the Germany national team in the process.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has dropped Remy from the team and has not included the France intentional in his last two games.
