Former Liverpoool winger Dirk Kuyt underlined that Beşiktaş supporters will create a great atmosphere and be confident that they can eliminate the Reds from the Europa League.
“I think the stadium is sold out, so the supporters will be very fanatical,” Kuyt told the official Liverpool website.
“The funny thing about Turkish supporters is they always believe they can win – it doesn’t matter if it’s Liverpool, Barcelona or Real Madrid, they always think they have a chance.”
The Netherlands international scored 71 goals in 285 matches for Liverpool and became a fan favourite during his time in England.
Kuyt was part of the Liverpool side that beat Beşiktaş 8-0 in the 2007-08 Champions League group stages.
The former Netherlands international joined the Black Eagles rivals Fenerbahçe from Liverpool in 2012 for €1 million and has a lot of experience playing in Turkey.
The 34-year-old has seven goals and four assists in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season.
Fenerbahçe are currently third in the Süper Lig just two points behind league leaders and rivals Galatasaray.
