Besiktas target Eskisehirspor’s Nigerian international midfielder Raheem Lawal

Besiktas have been linked with a move for Eskisehirspor’s Nigerian midfielder Raheem Lawal.

According to the Turkish newspaper Fotomac, the Black Eagles are on the hunt for an alternative to Atiba Hutchinson. Atiba’s contract with Besiktas runs out at the end of the season and the Istanbul based club have been unable to reach an agreement with the Canadian international.

Lawal joined Eskişehirspor from Mersin Idmanyurdu in February for €1 million. The central midfielder has two assist and two goals in all competitions for EsEs this season. Lawal has made six international appearances for Nigeria.

Eskisehirspor find them one place below Sivasspor following their shock 4-1 defeat at the hands of bottom of the table Balikesirspor. EsEs are in 15th place with 27 points in 25 games.
