Liverpool centre back Martin Skrtel has confirmed that he will asses his options after rejecting Liverpool’s contract extension.

The 31-year-old expressed his anger at the contract the Red’s tabled stating it was ‘unacceptable.’

“The contract, which was presented to me, makes me uneasy, so I did not sign it,” Skrtel told the Slovakian outlet Aktualne.

There has been some speculation about the interest of other clubs for my person, but they are currently being addressed.”

According to the Turkish Super Lig broadcaster LigTV, the Black Eagles are preparing an offer for the 30-year-old. The report goes onto state that Besiktas have held early talks Skrtel’s representatives.
