Besiktas currently sit at the top of the Turkish Super League with 35 points from 15 games. Slaven Bilic’s side have won their last seven games and will be looking to make it eight in a row on Sunday.
Demba Ba has recovered from his toe injury and has been declared fit. The Senegalese international has scored 16 goals in 20 games. Necip Uysal, Veli Kavlak and Tomas Sivok are doubts for the game.
Galatasaray
Galatasaray dropped vital points in last weekends clash with Gençlerbirliği. The Lions will need to avoid defeat if they don’t want to be six points adrift from the leaders going into the winter break.
Hamza Hamzaoglu’s side have won four of their last five games and are unbeaten against Besiktas since March 2011.
Aurelien Chedjou has recovered from his knee injury and has been declared fit to play.
Prediction
Besiktas are the leagues most in form team and will be looking continue their run against Galatasaray. The Lions have been high scoring since Hamzaoglu’s arrival and i expect that trend to continue in the Istanbul derby.
