Beşiktaş want to finish 2014 as leaders says Slaven Bilic [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic admitted that he wants to finish 2014 as Süper Lig leaders.
“We want to finish 2014 as league leaders,” Bilic said.
“The Konyaspor and Galatasaray games are so important, we must win these games, they could be pivotal in our title challenge.
“We have a really tough fixture list, we have played so many games in such a short space of time.
“Some of the players are starting to feel the strain, the Akhisar game really took it out of us, several players felt the fatigue.
“But we have no time to rest, there is no time to have a break. It is crunch time, this is that time of the season where you show your grit and mental strength.
“We must be very careful over the next two games, we must end the year on a high.”
Beşiktaş have played 13 matches within 42 days, which works out at roughly three games a week.
