Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman has revealed that talks with Atiba Hutchinson over a contract extension will resume during the national team break.
“Atiba is a great guy, we all love him here but we will not hold talks until the national team break, we have four very important games within 10 days and need to fully focus on these matches before negotiations,” Orman told Best FM.
Hutchinson is currently involved in contract talks over extending his current deal at the club.
The Canadian international is free to enter direct talks with other clubs as his contract is set to run out at the end of the season.
Beşiktaş are reported to have offered the Canadian international midfielder a 1+1 year contract worth €1.3 million per-season.
Hutchinson currently earns €1 million per-season at Beşiktaş.
The 32-year-old has made a total of 34 appearances for the Black Eagles in all competitions this season.
Hutchinson was recently voted Canadian Men’s Player of the Year for a third time.
Beşiktaş are currently second in the Süper Lig on 51 points after 23 games.
