Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic admitted his side did not play well despite beating Konyaspor 2-1.

The Black Eagles won their seventh consecutive game to move back into first place in the Süper Lig.

“We were terrible in the first half,” Bilic said.

“But we were still able to win playing ugly. This is a very tough place to play, there was a great atmosphere and you could tell from the get go that this was not going to be easy.

“This is a great stadium but we did not play to the best of our ability.

“It was moments of individual brilliance that saved us.

“Gökhan Töre created something out of nothing to score the first goal.

“We were better in the second half and deserved to double our lead but the penalty decision against us was like a joke.

“After Atiba got sent off we managed to defend well, we did not have our greatest game but we managed to win and that is what is important.”

Beşiktaş have secured 35 points from 15 games so far this season and take on Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby next week.
