Bilic criticises referee following Atiba red card [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic criticized referee Tolga Özkalfa following the Black Eagles 2-1 win over Konyaspor for sending off Atiba Hutchinson.
“Do not take what I am going to say the wrong way,” Bilic said.
“I am not defending Atiba, I am actually really annoyed with him. I protected him following the Asteras game but this was senseless.
“Atiba is going to get a suspension now and we are all going to suffer in his absence.
“The referee warned Atiba, after being warned Atiba did not move, so why did the referee show Atiba a yellow card?
“I could not understand that, maybe somebody at the studios or a pundit can tell me what the referee was up to?
“Anyway now we have to look forward to the Galatasaray game and make sure we are fully prepared, it is going to be a huge derby.”
Beşiktaş will be without Hutchinson for the Istanbul derby against Galatasaray next week.
