Bilic – ‘Kerim Frei deserved to start’ [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic praised Kerim Frei for his performance in the 2-0 win against Kasımpaşa on the weekend.
“Kerim Frei has been brilliant in training and has also been playing well when given a chance so I decided that he ought to start,” Bilic said.
“Kerim used his opportunity to prove himself well and has shown he is ready to play regularly at this level.
“The players know what I expect, if you prove yourself in training and put in the work I will give you a chance.
“I give players who put in work a chance, there is no favouritism, everybody is a part of this team.
“We have a good squad but need additional depth and have limitations in some positions.”
The young winger joined Beşiktaş from Fulham for £3 million last season.
The Turkish international has a total of four goals in 15 appearances this season.
