Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has revealed his plan to stop Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32.
Bilic believes that stopping the Liverpool wingers with his fullbacks could end up being a game changer.
“When playing against an English side you must stop them playing down the wings, if you give them space on the flanks to deliver crosses you will suffer,” Bilic told DHA.
“We have to defend our flanks well, it is essential if we are to win, Motta and Serdar Kurtuluş have a huge task.”
Beşiktaş left-back Motta is an injury doubt against Liverpool however, right-back Serdar Kurtuluş is expected to start.
Bilic has experience playing in England and enjoyed a stint at Liverpool rivals Everton from 1997-2000.
Beşiktaş have played English opposition twice in European competition already this season.
The Black Eagles lost 1-0 on aggregate against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League play-offs.
Beşiktaş also drew 1-1 against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the Europa League and beat Spurs 1-0 in Istanbul.
The Turkish giants are currently 1st in the Süper Lig on 47 points after 20 games.
