Bilic – ‘We have left if all to the Tottenham game now’ [divider]
Slaven Bilic revealed that he was disappointed with his side despite Beşiktaş progressing to the Europa League Round of 32 following a 2-2 draw against Asteras.
“We qualified and did our job but I told my players before not to leave it all to the last game,” Bilic said.
“Now whether we clinch first place or not has been left down to the Tottenham game.
“We conceded possession too often, we lost concentration after scoring the second goal, we should have tried to score a third but we allowed our opposition to get back into the game.
“The goals we conceded were bizarre but we at the end of the day it was our fault, we have to close out games better especially in high pressure away games.”
Beşiktaş dropped into second place following the draw and will have to beat Tottenham on Match Day 6 to finish Group C as leaders.
