Blackburn v Liverpool: Expected Line ups – Emre Can out for first time in 22 games

Liverpool take on Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup quarter-final replay following a goalless draw at Anfield the first time these two sides met.

The Reds will be without midfielder-come-defender Emre Can for the first time in 22 consecutive games.

Liverpool will also be missing another member of their back-three in Martin Skrtel.

Both defenders are out suspended for the Blackburn game as is captain Steven Gerrard.

Striker Mario Balotelli is also out of the quarter-final game due to injury.

Can joined Liverpool on a £9.75 million move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and has made a total of one goal and one assist in 32 appearances this season.

 

The 21-year-old joined Liverpool as a central midfielder but has played most of the season as a key component of Brendan Rodgers defensive back-three.
