Bundesliga giants set to reject £21m bid for Liverpool target

Borussia Dortmund are yet against set to reject a bid from Manchester City for their star midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

TalkSport have reported that the Bundesliga giants will turn down City’s latest offfer of £21 million. Dortmund previously rejected an £18 million offer for the 25-year-old.

The sports radio station goes on to state that Dortmund are holding out for a bid in the region of £30 million for the in-demand midfielder.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Gundogan’s transfer situation according to the newspaper Express. However, The Sun newspaper recently reported that City director of football Txiki Begiristain and Pep Guardiola have managed to convince the Germany international of Turkish origin to join the club after weeks of talks.

Gundogan has seven assist and three goals in 40 appearances for the Bundesliga giants this season. Dortmund are are in second place behind leaders Bayern Munich with 74 points in 31 games.
